Yooda Insight

This is an extremely interesting SEO tool to start with. Yooda Insight is an online program that doesn’t actually allow you to do a technical analysis of your website or your competitors’ websites. The Yooda Insight tool is essentially a keyword tool. Its FR database is excellent and allows you to find a few nuggets when searching for a niche. Thanks to Yooda you can, almost at random, find high quality keywords for a niche. Indeed, the “market explorer” tool (the one that lets you search for keywords) is easy to use and the results are extremely relevant. For example, using SEMrush I get “pension affiliation” or “social security affiliation” in the search results for the word “affiliation”. Yooda somehow miraculously gives me results directly related to affiliate marketing. RQ: if you need an article on social security, you can’t find it.

Yooda is more than a keyword tool. Yooda Insight also allows you to monitor the position of your site, your competitors’ sites (5 sites in total) and find topic leaders. But these features are really hard to use directly in their interface. You have to constantly export, modify spreadsheets, cross-reference and use the data… A huge waste of time analysing natural links. Another big problem is that the data is only updated 2-3 times a month. So Yooda is a great tool to help you build websites and articles. It’s even the best, I think, but the other features are secondary.

How to work with Yooda Insight

The price is still interesting considering the quality of the keyword tool and the added benefits it brings to SEO. I used to use Yooda Insight in combination with Monitorank (see below), but I stopped both subscriptions when I switched to SEMrush. There is a free version that allows unlimited searches. But the results are incomplete (only the first results appear) and you can’t sort them.

Advantages

  • Best tool for keywords, in my opinion
  • Exclusively French database
  • Intuitive interface
  • Unlimited free version and some useful

Disadvantages

  • Limited functionality
  • Free version useful, but not very user friendly
  • Unable to cross-reference data
  • Infrequent updates
