Ranxplorer

Ranxplorer is the direct competitor of SEMrush. This online tool offers more or less the same functionalities: monitoring of specific positions, competitive analysis, site audit. In short, almost everything that SEMrush offers. So I won’t copy and paste the description of SEMrush, but I will give you the differences and why I personally use SEMrush and not Ranxplorer.

Ranxplorer has quite a few advantages to it. The main one, the one that usually tips the balance, is its prices which are still much lower than SEMrush. Ranxplorer’s starting price is 19.90€, which is almost 5 times less than SEMrush! But this very aggressive price only serves as an invitation to tender since it is limited to 500 page views per month, or about 17 per day, which is almost the same as the free version of SEMrush. On this point, Ranxplorer is playing it a bit too much “call price that serves no purpose” I think. The next package is at 69.90€ per month and is already more in line with a basic use of SEMrush. But when SEMrush offers reports and unlimited consultation, Ranxplorer has this system of number of page views per month in all its packages. This is one of the two points that made me choose SEMrush: I prefer to avoid limited packages so that I don’t get stuck at the end of the month on my searches or get a gargantuan surprise bill.

The second difference between the two is the interface. Ranxplorer has an excellent point here. There are fewer possibilities, but the interface is lighter and this SEO tool is, in fact, much easier to use. After an hour of use you will be able to find and use most of the features the software offers.

The last big difference between the two, and this is a second point that made me choose SEMrush, is the almost total absence of backlinks analysis in Ranxplorer. So sure, you can still see the basic metrics, but the data is not complete enough, and because of the limitation of the number of page views per month, it is very difficult to select this backlinks tool to establish a good netlinking strategy and check the quality of your future sponsored articles.

Ranxplorer also offers a free version. But it is extremely limited as it is impossible to see all the results of our search. Only the first five are displayed. While this system allows you to test the tool, it does not allow you to work. The free version is therefore useless on its own.
